Et Alia Theater is an emerging theater company based in NYC composed of international womxn who are eager to express their culturally diverse backgrounds and feminist lenses through the performing arts. The group was born from its members’ shared belief in the power of theater to build connections that go beyond nationalities and labels, as well as their ambition to tell the NYC audience stories they have not heard before. Their desire to expand their horizons and engage with the worldwide storytelling scene led them to leave their countries and become global citizens. Together, they intend to combine their love for their roots and hope to provide the audience with emotional and intellectual experiences surrounding the question of what it means to be a woman in a globalized world.
Creative Performances’ mission is to provide an opportunity for dancers of all genres to help them showcase their work in New York City. In addition, Creative Performances seeks to create further appreciation by developing projects to explore relationships between dance and other art forms.
World of female avatars is a project for expanded understanding of women and their relation to their body. By using the internet as an artistic survey media as many different entries from different cultures as possible will be collected. The public call for female body pictures and text with personal statements about the body is going to be presented at this net art project. The submitted pictures are used for a digital collage to create new bodies - The avatars of female body, which will live in the cyber World of female avatars from now on. RHYTHMCOLOR's mission includes, encouraging community engagement via participation in the creative process to develop and educate new audiences; and to partner performing, technical and visual artists with various projects.
CRS (Center for Remembering & Sharing) is a healing and arts center opened in 2004 by spiritual writer/counselor/lecturer Yasuko Kasaki and her students. Our mission is to promote the awareness that limitless creativity lives within each of us. Using A Course in Miracles as our foundation, we train people to recognize the light in themselves and others and provide them opportunities to share their inner vision through the healing and creative arts. While open to everyone, CRS has from the beginning attracted many people from abroad, and has become known for presenting healing, arts, and cultural programs from around the world.
Kelley Donovan and Dancers, formed in 1997, creates contemporary dance-based performances exploring transformation. The company was cited as one of the Top Ten performances by The New York Times, The Boston Globe & The Boston Phoenix and the Boston Herald and has been called “a distinctive...beautiful mover” by the New Yorker. The company has received funding from The Artist Foundation, The Massachusetts Cultural Council and a Harkness Space Grant. KD&D has been an artist in residence at the Boston Center for the Arts, Roger Williams University, Duo Muliticultural Arts Center and Green St. Studios and The Dance Complex. She has shown work in numerous Boston venues and has been produced by World Music/Crasharts, The Institute of Contemporary Arts, MIT, ArtsFirst, Mobius, Boston Center for the Arts, Harvard University, Choreographers Group, Salem State College and The Federal Reserve Bank and most recently at The Merce Cunningham Studio, Galapogos, Alvin Ailey Studios, Joyce SoHo, Movement Research and the 92nd St. Y in New York City.

In Scena! is the first Italian theater Festival to take place in all five NYC boroughs
In Scena! presents – each year – a survey of the best Italian Theater, from Italy, in New York. It features full productions that have already toured in Italy as well as readings of Italian plays in translation, workshops, lectures and exchanges between Italian and International artists. The goal is to promote greater awareness of Italian theater and Italian artists among New York theatergoers, and to build a bridge between the artistic scenes in Italy and New York, so that they may each support and inspire the other.
The Museum of Interesting Things is a traveling interactive demonstration/exhibition of antiques and inventions that goes to schools, libraries and events and inspires kids and adults to be curious. We bring back tinkering. I like to say it shows kids and adults that their ipods did not pop out of thin air! Like a circus...just no elephants!
Every month there is a Secret Speakeasy with a dedicated theme that helps the Museum reach more kids and adults as well as a way for more people to see and enjoy the thingies and see 16mm films and hear vinyl records! Women Between Arts is New York's currently leading interdisciplinary womxn artists series, created and curated by Luisa Muhr, with its home-base at The New School (Mannes School of Music, Arnhold Hall Glass Box Theater). The series has been developed for professionals who identify as womxn, their groups/ensembles/collaborators (including people of all genders and non-binary people), who work with any combination of music, theater, dance, poetry, performance art, installations, and/or visual arts in an unconventional way. Luisa's mission is to provide a platform for and encourage dialogue between strong, diverse womxn artists who combine multiple art fields in order to create interdisciplinary work.
KIT’s mission is to create a cultural exchange program between Italy, the US and the international community, to unveil the artistic and creative sides of each country, with special focus on Italy and the US. In the United States, Kairos Italy Theater is primarily dedicated to spreading Italian Culture and to creating a Cultural Network in order to support and further increase the knowledge of Italian and International culture, and to support and encourage collaboration between artists world-wide.
